The project was to build the site using exacting design specifications and graphic standards. The design mirrors a gallery-like appearance so Ann’s paintings remain the main emphasis. This site design was created by Ann Rea, Inc.© and executed in code by Sirvus Design Studios.

Clean lines, layout and best use of negative space were also incorporated. Unobtrusive effects such as images fades, image rollovers, window-shade effects on click, and rotating text quotes were used to enhance the site’s appeal.

This project involved a complete redesign and a custom back-end Content Management System (CMS) developed by Sirvus Design Studios.

A somewhat monochromatic color palette allows for the photos and content to shine through. Subtle patterns, textures, shading and a custom venetian plaster background mimics the actual ambiance of the physical restaurant. A reworking of the navigation was also incorporated to better serve today’s touchscreen applications (e.g. android os, iPad, iPhone, etc.). Use of jQuery for photo galleries was used to enhance the site’s appeal.
